Privacy Policy

We value your privacy. This policy explains how the Welcar iOS app, including its widget extension and Shortcuts (“the App”), handles information related to you. The App has no account system and does not ask for your name, phone number, or email address.

1. Information stored on your device

Widget settings, favorites, selected vehicles, location labels, recorded sounds, and photos selected in AI Create are stored on your device and in the App’s shared container to synchronize the App and widgets. Except when you start AI generation as described in the App, this content is not uploaded to our server.

Uninstalling the App deletes this local data.

2. System permissions

• Location: We request While Using the App access only for current-location weather. Apple location services and WeatherKit provide your city and weather. The shared container stores only the latest city, approximate coordinates, and weather—not location history. Revoking access clears the weather cache. Widget location use also follows the system’s widget permission.
• Microphone: Used only when you record your own sounds. Recordings stay on your device.
• Photos: We add an AI-created image to your library only when you choose to save it. We do not read your other photos.
• Tracking: The App uses the advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure campaigns only if you allow tracking in the system prompt. Choosing Ask App Not to Track does not affect any feature.

You can change these permissions at any time in iPhone Settings.

3. AI Create

When you start AI generation, the photo you selected (optional), the chosen style, your description, and the vehicle name are uploaded to our server, which calls an image-generation model to produce the result. Results and reference photos are stored on our server so you can view your history in the App. You can delete any record in the App; deletion also removes the generated image and reference photo from the server.

To track free quota and subscription entitlements, the server records an anonymous device identifier generated by the App. It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, or contact details.

4. Campaign measurement

To measure promotion channels, the App integrates attribution and analytics SDKs from Adjust, Umeng, and Ocean Engine. If you allow tracking, they may collect device identifiers, model and system version, installation and open events, product interactions such as adding widgets, subscription purchase events, and related advertising data under their own privacy policies.

This information is used to measure installation sources and ad performance and to show more relevant promotions. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Diagnostic logs and usage statistics

To troubleshoot issues and understand feature usage, the App sends anonymous operational records to the cloud logging service we use, including an anonymous device identifier, session identifier, app version, system version, device model, locale, feature usage events, and error information. These records do not include your recordings, photos, location history, or anything that directly identifies you.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Apple processes Welcar PRO purchases, charges, and refunds through the App Store. We receive only transaction information needed to verify subscription status and do not receive your bank card details or Apple ID password.

7. Children

The App is intended for adults who are eligible to drive and is not directed to children under 14. If you are a minor, use the App with a guardian’s guidance.

8. Your rights

You can withdraw location, microphone, Photos, or tracking permission at any time in iPhone Settings and delete all local data by uninstalling the App. Server-side AI Create records can be deleted one by one in the App. For information processed by third-party SDKs, exercise your rights under their privacy policies. 9. Policy updates

We update this policy when the App adds server features or third-party services, or changes how permissions are used. The update date appears here, and material changes are announced in the App.
